FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Share whatever feels comfortable for you. You may not wish to share anything at this stage, or you might want to speak more specifically about what you’re finding difficult. Any information you do share is helpful, and we can always explore things further in our first session.

  • I work on Mondays, Tuesdays till evening, Thursday mornings and Fridays.

  • Imagining the first session can be daunting, what will occur, what should I talk about, how much do I share? These are all totally normal fears, the first session is about getting to know you, and to understand what is troubling you. I will work with you, where you are at, you get to choose what you share.

  • My work is grounded in building a safe therapeutic relationship, which I see as central to meaningful change in your life. I am genuinely curious about who you are, and committed to supporting your well-being. I work collaboratively with you, think of me as a guide who supports you with whatever is troubling you

  • Psychotherapy is about paying attention to patterns that often operate outside of our awareness and show up in feelings, thoughts, and relationships. This includes paying attention to your past, how relationship have affected you, and to unconscious patterns. Over time, this can help create deeper and more lasting change.
